Glogging!

Welcome to our inaugural post for the summer of 2010! Our creative writing class has been working hard to develop short stories that will encompass a variety of styles and genres. One of our first tasks was to create "glogs," or online interactive posters, that will represent the protagonists of our stories. Students were asked to depict certain things about their protagonists, such as what style of clothes they wear, three of their personality traits, three of their interests, their favorite foods, their perspective on life, etc.

The idea was that each student should develop an intimate knowledge of their protagonist before they write a story about this person. Once they know who this person is, they can then write all about them! Glogs give them a visual and interactive way to think about their character, before writing, which helps them think about their character from a different perspective.
